At Birendranath Sasmal Primary Teachers’ Training Institute (BNSPTTI), we believe that a rich collection of learning resources and a serene study environment form the cornerstone of quality teacher education. Our Library-cum-Reading Room serves as the intellectual hub of the campus, empowering student-teachers pursuing D.El.Ed. and B.Ed. programs to deepen their knowledge, engage in reflective thinking, and excel in their academic and professional journeys.

Vast Collection of Books: The library houses a collection of 16,752 books covering foundational pedagoical theories, subject-specific methodologies, educational psychology, child development, curriculum design, and general reference material.
Journals & Periodicals: To keep trainees updated on contemporary research and evolving practices in education, the library subscribes to 8 national and educational journals and periodicals.
Spacious Reading Room: A peaceful, well-lit, and well-ventilated reading area provides an ideal environment for quiet study, research, note-making, and preparation for teaching practice.
Curriculum & Reference Support: Trainees have seamless access to textbooks customized for teach-training modules, reference encyclopedias, previous year question repositories, and educational project guides.
Digital & IT Integration: Complementing the physical collection, student-teachers are encouraged to utilize our academic and IT infrastructure to access e-resources and virtual learning materials.

Rules & Guidelines for Visitors
Silence: Complete silence must be maintained inside the library and reading room at all times.
Identity Card: Trainees must carry their institutional identity card to access library facilities and borrow books.
Care of Resources: Books, journals, and library property must be handled with care. Writing on, marking, or damaging pages is strictly prohibited.
Timings: The Reading Room is open during official institute hours on all working days.
